This is another Texas question- what are Texas scamble certificates? I've seen them mentioned on some web sites & at sales.

I could be wrong but I don't think they slick shear heifers. The scramble certificates are from the kids catching a calf in the calf scramble, different fairs have different money amounts.

Thanks Lacey! i just thought about my heifer being slick sheared!
Do they remimburse the sellers for the calves sold as scramble ones?
How's the calving coming along?

They get money from the fair for the heifers. Calving good so far we had a 62 lbs Ali yesterday. We have one more coming then I'm done with him lol. Our other cows are getting close there due on the 31st.
