Donkey Breeding Question

I'm wondering if anyone knows if donkeys only stand when in heat or if they are receptive to the Jack at anytime. I dropped my jennet off at another board member's (Mechanic's) place earlier today. I had to leave my trailer. When I came back to pickup my trailer, Mechanic's Jack had already bred my Jennet at least 3 times. I didn't know whether I should load her back on the trailer or leave her. We decided to leave her. Does anyone have experience with this and can tell us the breeding habits of donkeys?
