I actually named this donkey after an ex boy friend. He was the biggest jack ass I had ever met. Fortunatly, he didn't stick around nearly as long as the donkey!RW

(lol)

I should clarify that a little - he was my oldest daughters ex boy friend. Some times the fingers can't keep up with all of the voices in my head! ;-)       RW

I was trying to keep an open mind there RW, but I was sure starting to get a little worried. ;D Glad you clarified that.

I may be alot of things Doc but that's not one of them for sure! I have kids from "drinking to stinking" as they say (21 to diapers) so I think you're pretty safe. LOL! RW

How big is a Stanrard Donkey?
ROAD WARRIOR said:
Yes there is a difference - there are basically three sizes - minis, standards and manmoth. I prefer the standard size donkey. I have used them to break calves from as small as 300# up to 2000#. Ideally I don't like to break many over the 14 -1500# range but never say never. RW

A standard donkey will be a little smaller than an average horse - maybe 54" range. RW

I've had a donkey for 3 years and have yet to break a calf with it!  Hope I never have to.

What catagory does the over 6' 2 legged donkey belong in.  We use that one to halter break a lot of our calves.  It doesn't kick but sure does get noisy.  ;D

If anyone is looking in the Ohio area- I have a donkey for sale.

He is 6mo right now.  He is a light grey and will probably end up large or mammoth size.  His daddy was little, and his momma is a big girl.  Right now he is bigger then the jack we use the break calves with now.  He is not gelded-yet- and is rather timmid.  The only reason I want to get rid of him is I don't need 3 donkeys.  The ohter 2 are "welfare" cases and I plan to keep them until they die.  If anyone is intrested I can get you pics and more info.  I am asking $200.00
