Double Dip or Rag Oil? I know Bay Rum will add some set to the hair.

I would say rag oil.

dilute the soap or use one of those foamers.

dilute the soap 50%, then use half as much on the first wash, and half again on the second.  you can't get the suds in the first wash as you can in the second, all with less soap and less time and water rinsing it out.

try it first on your own head!  also, with your own head, you don't put as much soap in your septic tank, leach line.
