Did anyone go? I was there and bought the lot 44 Shorthorn Plus heifer.  I'll have the prices of all the calves soon.  If anyone was there, let me know what  you thought of the offering.

good purchase, i like her top line and through her shoulder.  a little trumpy behind with her long bone for me, but she looks good with excellent  angles on her rear end.  seems like most of the females have the same looking head from the eyes to the snout, amazing.

how did lot 11 and 12 look in person, especially on their chest floor, fore rib and tracking?

Here are the comments posted on another board.  I wish other producers would take Christy Collins lead and post total sale results, I know some of us are just curious, but it seems like there are questions after ever sale.

Sale wLot 11 was the heifer right? If so, she went to the Knauth family. The bull was bought in a Syndicate that included Dutch Acres Farms. The sale was pretty nice, I bought one of the Shorthorn Plus females. A solid offering all the way through, in my opinion.as good averaged 9290, lots 10 & 11 were the high sellers at $60,000 for lot 10 and $62,000 for lot 11 lot 17 went for 7200 to Chyanne Starman of IL

Lots 11 and 12...nice heifers....11 was pretty straight for me, and I'm not sure if she'll get quite big enough to compete at some higher level shows like NAILE or NWSS.  12 was definately a good heifer, really deep and impressive on the move, but again, not sure if she's got quite enough frame.  She is definately going to be good though. The best buy of the whole sale was lot number 4 (I'm pretty sure thats what number she was). She went for $2000 to Buddy Haas...I would have tried to buy her, but my dad gave me instructions to try to buy a Shorthorn Plus, not a purebred..it was a really good sale in my opinion. Robbie does a really good job with the sale calves, and they do a really good job taking care of the buyers.

I think you got a good one... Lot 44 is a pretty heifer.

Thanks!! Shes tame as a kitten too...I plan on showing her at the Heart of It All show in Ohio next month...all the calves there were really calm, with the exception of the bull, Talledega...he was a little mean..

$2,700  to Ashton Smith....i think...she bought a couple...he was a pretty nice bull, but his attitude was questionable.

Sorry I meant the Tuscalloosa bull. I had my Alabama towns backwards.
Shortdawg, Of all people I'm disappointed in you getting your cities mixed up. The Tuscalloosa bull brought $60k, the sister brought $62k. Call you later.
