Yep.  I hate it when that happens.

Ok, I am the odd ball (I know some of you are shocked) call me tacky, we leave our tags in, I'm not convinced it gives any advantage, but if it does, I'm not too proud to use it.  We actually leave them in for identification in the pasture, all of our cows are tagged and some of the 10 year old cows still have the original sale tags in them no reason to take them out that I know of.  Our farm tags that we have written on I do take out, the ones with hand writing do look tacky.

We tag our calves as they hit the ground.  when people come look at them to identify them off a list.  That way we can give the buyer the freedom to go into the field and look by himself without us.  That way they can talk freely and they don't feel we are pressuring them in any way.  Our cows are tagged also.  We have youth in the area ask us to make them tags for their show animals with names or farm logos on them.  We use a laser to cut the tags and they look nice for those who like tags.  We sell them and are hoping to run an advertisement soon....hope you all don't think they are tacky and take a look.  We would be open to comments.  :)
