MLC announced they would slick shear and exhibit their El Toro
bull today in Denver.    I saw one picture of the bull
with MLC sheared on one side.

Did they indeed slick him for exhibit?

If so, any pix?

They slicked one side. When I walked by and looked at him the hairy side was facing people (they have him set up so when you stand in the aisle you see his profile) and I just assumed they had decided against it. Talked to someone later and they explained that he was in fact sheared on one side. I won't bother to share someone else's opinions, but may be able to get a pic tomorrow.

Ran across this pic of him. Can see his slick side a tad

I could be wrong but I think im right.... im pretty sure the wife and I were at Hawkeye checking out some other bulls (RCC) one late night when he got dropped off. Just another colored bull in my opinion!

Jmo I think it was a stupid idea. First off you are in Denver in January having these bulls out in the unpredictable weather. Second off el toro isn't good enough to display as slick shear
Im pretty sure matt doesn't have many bulls that appeal to the slick shear people and he is being a little too eager trying to break into that market
Don't burn me at the stake for those comments

I agree with you. There's a reason Denver isn't a slick show.

I saw the bull yesterday and I am really impressed. I am in Texas so I liked seeing one side slicked down. I think he has too much shoulder but other than that I really liked him. I know Brandon Horn ordered some yesterday.

So, even though this bull being a clone of a slick champion means he shouldn't be displayed as a slick?

He's a mab full force

There hasn't ever been a mab worth slicking

Lautner just uses the picture of the steer as false advertising because they're the same color

Imagine if we did that with every black bull

it says houston in the ad....

That Ad also says the steer was out of a Heat Wave heifer and a Rapid Rewards son. El Toro is an MAB out of a Full Force dam. Not exactly what I would call a "clone".....

It'll happen to the best of em confusion is the name of the game in clubby bull promotion

No the bull should not be slicked sheared because they are in denver in January?
Cattle prefer 20 degree weather when they have hair. Not 5 degree weather when they are sheared on one side
Bottom line they are putting that bull through something that it doesn't need to go through
And I agree on the same color slick shear promotion matt is going with, makes total sense
Now that he points that out I have a monopoly x shorthorn heifer that's a full sib to the grand PB angus heifer at naile (lol)

Well monopoly is half angus so doesn't that make your heifer a sister to the champion charolais also?
