What is the best elevation for feeding curbs for 700 pound calves versus 1600 pound dry cows? We talked about having the curb 18 inches high on the cattle side,  the curb 8" thick or wide, and the outside surface where the feed is placed 12 inches below the top of the curb, or 6 inches higher than the animal stands. I'm sure that will be fine for the cows, I'm wondering if the calves will have trouble reaching the feed? Any input is appreciated.
