Ok all.  I've posted her on here before, and now that we're 3 weeks away from county, I would like EVERYBODY'S opinions :)  She is a 1-09 Final Answer Daughter, bred back to an In Focus son (been posted on here as well... lol).  If there are any other questions, shoot away, I'll answer best I can.

Her side profile looks great!!! I would make her a little stronger in her top and maybe squarer in her hip. Maybe a little more bone mass, but thats getting picky on an angus. Shes really got that cowy look, which personally I like, but some dont, so that may hurt or help her, depending on your judge. She's starting to look a little cowier because she was born January and is starting to mature into that cow look. Overall good animal, that looks like she'll make an awesome cow!!!  (thumbsup)

I think the photos demonstrate that when you show her you DO NOT want to hold her head high, as that makes her top sag and appear weak.
I would like to correct her hip structure. I am not sure if it is due to her being over conditioned (in my opinion) but her hip and hind leg structure doesn't seem to look quite right.

On the good side, she is super deep and broody. Is wide based and has adequate bone for an angus.

She will make a nice project but she will make a better brood cow!

Good Luck!!

Thank you for your comments guys.  I will not argue with either of you, I feel she does need to be stronger topped, as well as more level from hooks to pins.  She is carrying a little more than ideal condition as well.  BUT, please keep the criticizims and opinions rollin' in!

If she were stronger and bigger topped, she would be a really nice heifer IMO.  If there are any rises in the show ring, make sure she has her front feet higher than her rear feet, that will help a bunch.

I pretty much agree with everyone. I know when my daughter shows she'll take the show stick's pointy hook and gut the calf to get it to raise it's belly and flatten out it's back. Maybe give that a try. Also, I'd spread the back legs a little more, gives the calf a bigger rear end.

change her posture to try to straighten out that back and that will help tremendously.

can you post a pic where her head is not held so high. perhaps that is accentuating making her look weaker topped than she really is.
