For those of you that have calved out cows that were bred to the following bulls, what birth weight ranges did you see and what would you say your average birth weigth figures were:

1. Monopoly
2. Walks Alone
3. Tiger Woods

We are lining up semen orders for this fall's breeding and I'd like to have as much info as possible before I send off an order.  I know it depends on your cow as well and also how you manage them, but I would just like some averages.  My cowherd is not crossed up alot and birth weights have never really been a problem.  I have not used these bulls and don't want to get into a wreck without getting some answers first.  I appreciate the info in advance!

I calved out a few Walks Alone calves.  78 to 84 lbs and very vigorous.  Will use him again.  Of course, our calves are always smaller in the fall that in the spring here in Texas.

Almost all of my cowherd are 2 way crosses of Charolais x Maine or Charolais x Angus or Maine x Angus or either straightbred of any of those breeds.  Now, there are a few crossbred cows that have been the last couple years out of AI studs, but we generally only have to pull a calf or two, and that is usally due to calf presentation more than a huge weight.  I am fine with 90 lb calves, but just want to steer away from the 120's and big stuff like that.  I don't have the time to babysit the cowherd all calving season...

I have discussed this with several breeders and so forth and have not heard of any wrecks, but just wanted to poll a wider range of people and steerplanet is always a good souce of info to find some good answers.  Thanks
