We purchased two steers, one is a Paddy O'Malley x Heat Seeker and the other is Warrant Shorthorn. I have never fed a Paddy or Warrant. I will tell you the Warrant is already a easy fleshing soggy fella. Any opinions?

thanks!

The paddy probably won't be the growthy-est thing, or have the most rib as a calf, whiskeys normall come on a little latter.

I would agree with this statement!  Paddys can feed in to good ones in the end!

Thanks for info folks.

Below is what I could find on Warrant. The calf definitely fits description. Below. He is a HW.
• Warrant
ACA reg #: 336841
Sire: Heat Wave
Dam: 908 (Draft Pick X Meyer 734)
With very limited use for Spring & Fall 07’, Warrant proved his ability to sire a tremendous set of calves. His calves were consistently soft ribbed, square hipped and heavy boned. Plus, they had loads of hair and were easy to sell. Now arriving is Warrant’s second calf crop and the reports are tremendous.

Not a fan of the Paddy calves in general. All that I have seen have been too tall, bigger sheathed, & a little high flanked. I can't figure out why PPL are still using him instead of Irish Whiskey himself. It's not even close. On the other hand I like Warrant and did breed some to him. I was told that he works best on chi influenced females. Have seen some awesome calves out of him. I thought that those that couldn't get Walks Alone would be well served by switching over to Warrant. I actually am more comfortable using Warrant. I think that he maybe more complete than Walks Alone & 3/4 sib by pedigree. The downside is that he is a double carrier.
Anyone seen very many Punisher calves?
