It's obvious facebook and twitter have taken over the world.  So I decided to set up a "site" for my small scale livestock operation on both.  I don't have many cows but I've had some success raising Herefords that have done well in the show ring and I've sold some clubbies that have won as well.  I'm slowing building my cow base as I'm finishing up college so the use of facebook and twitter seem to be the logical choice to help get my cattle noticed, especially from an expense standpoint.  Has anyone else used this approach?  Is it working for you?  What's your twitter handle and/or facebook page?  Look me up at facebook.com/BajaCattle and on twitter @bajacattle

The great thing about this kind of marketing is it is free. I agree that setting up a blog is a great idea. Also if you aren't looking for anything fancy your blog can be utilized as a website now with the options to create different pages. These are two website that are actually blogs set up through blogger - http://www.zntcattle.com/ and www.jjbcattleco.com You have to remember that not everyone is on facebook (surprising I know) and with a website or blog anyone can run across it.

My facebook page is www.facebook.com/crystalcattle
Twitter @crystalcattle
And my Blog is www.crystalcattle.com

Good luck!
