Just finished Brazoria County Fair (Texas). What a week. Rain, cold (for us) creating mud and misery. Followed by 102 heat index 2 days later. Anyway, we survived. The kids (2 this year) were successful with their projects. All 4 turkeys were in top 10 with the best 1 ending up Reserve Champion. Lambs did well... took a 2nd in breeding and a 3rd and 4th in market. Commercial heifer won her class and ended up being purchased by a neighbor (hopefully we will get to see her babies in the future). My daughter's new simmental heifer (pictured earlier this fall on here) ended up with a Reserve Breed at the open show. I'm just glad it's over for another year, but will miss the people I only see there.
