i was wondering what i should feed heifers that were just breed. they are going to be on a 11 acre patch of grass/weeds. well mostly weeds now but they have a bunch of small grass bales on it that i never got picked up. i was wondering what else i should give them. i also have about 120 acres of buffalo grass i can put them on but their aint much more grass because we jsut had cows on it. they were bred for show calves.

a good lick tub & mineral program is your best bet. DL likes the Crystal Lick Brigade (sp?) from Hubbard. Gives protein, minerals & some other goodies.
Depending on their body score, some grain if needed.
