Just spent some time cleaning up several sets of clippers yesterday to get ready for the year.  We usually use Sullivan's Final Bloom to oil the blades on our clippers, we always have it and it seems to work.  I know there are some spray oils that are made for clippers and wonder if this is any better?  What do you use on your blades?

I like putting some of the andis clipper oil (the heavy stuff that comes with the two speeds) on when I start clipping and use final bloom periodically while clipping to replenish the oil without getting too heavy. Like to use hocus pocus while clipping fit legs to get the adhesive off.

I like the FB better because it seems like the oil leaves itself on the calve after you first oil and then go to clipping...FB just goes on lighter than oil i guess..

Depends on the use.

If you are clipping lots of cows in a hurry or slick shearing with big clippers - use a heavier oil.  We use gear oil when clipping cows.

For little clippers on show calves, final touch works just fine.
