finished steer but need more lbs

we have a very nice boardwalk fat steer going to are county fair he could easy hold more weight but he is finshed already the fair is the last week of july would like to add more weight without making him to fat any suggestions please  (cow)

synovex s implant will add weight- but wont make him real greasey fat... turn alot of it into shape

We have used Synovex S implants and they worked well for us.  I know some feedlot guys in our area were having trouble with prolapse while using that specific implant, and just make sure your calf is good on his feet and legs.  We never had trouble with ours staying sound on the implant, but I have heard it can make them a little tight.  We had one steer that we were going to implant this year, but he was pretty cresty in his neck and bold shouldered, so we decided not to. Not sure we did the right thing, but...
