First Detour Calves

We had our first Detour calf yesterday, she was 87 lbs, just right. She is out of a very stout New Trend 315 X Leachman Righttime cow that has done really well for us.  We should get a few more soon out of Simm and Maine cows.

We just had our first calf of the year a bull calf out of a Maine Anjou Gelbvieh cross that has done an outstanding job all through her life with us. I love the calving season its like opening presents on christmas the only thing that i don't like is going out to the barn and seeing your worst nightmare (if you know what i mean by that.)  (clapping)
