Hi, my daughter has a full black Angus show steer. Her show is in 33 days, and weighed him yesterday and he is only at 1050 we also are concerned with his rear end he is just flat any advice how to work on this? She is feeding 20# of Payback Champion Bull Challenger, and she just started him on Beet Pulp I suggested we try explode or optiflex. Thank you

It seems like you are trying the right things. Unfortunately that's just the nature of Angus cattle.

Unfortunately, Angus are a little flatter made in there overall design. However to get optimal gains your steer should be eating 3% of his body weight daily. On a 1050 lb steer that should be about 31.5 pounds per day. Build him up to that level slowly adding a little everyday.

Has he had an implant? A Revlar IS or S will help his gain and muscle.
