Looking to flush two cows and was wanting to set up the recips to put some of the eggs in fresh. Was looking to use CIDR's to group them up. My question is what do some of you use for protocols for this. We usually insert the cidrs on day 0 and give shot of Cystorelin and on day 7 pull cidrs and shot of Lut. What day do you start the shots to super ovulate the donors? Would the 7 day cidr protocol be the same for both the recips and the donors (timing the same) to get the recips to come in at the same time you would breed the donors? My thinking would be to put Cidrs in on Wednesday and pull the following Wednesday, cows are usually in heat then on Saturday so we would breed the donors on Saturday and then whatever recips are in heat on Saturday would be candidates to put fresh eggs in the following Saturday when the donors would be flushed. Any help here would be much appreciated. Have contacted and Embryologist but he hasn't got back with me yet.
