It's spreading fast across the country.  Very scary stuff and not much you can do but wait and see.  Several of the big vets here aren't taking any horses except major emergencies.

Scary stuff, hope they can keep it quarantined and not spread past the participants in that show.

Unfortunately there is a confirmed case in Alberta which 962 miles / 1,548 km from the original outbreak. Luckily arenas are being responsible and going through the proper disinfection processes recommended by the Alberta Veterinary Medicine Association. People have been losing horses through out the states and if proper precautions are not taken it will be even more serious
