We had a slight change in bulls last weekend.  Brass came up limping and had to go to the vet last Saturday.  He had a toe abscess, but it was caught early, treated, and the vet though he should recover fine.  We had to turn out a new bull to breed any cows that aren't bred yet (if any).  We turned out VACA Freightliner on Saturday.  He is a yearling son of Brass and out of a Vann daughter that goes back to the seven eleven cow.

They both look good. So the white tag bull is the 3/4  double bred 148, right?

Yep. White tag is the 3/4. Only one shot of 148. He is sired by a Durham red and out of your Clementine cow sue! She is a good rip! Sorry not the best video but it is just me. <beer>

The bull's dam is a Leveldale Javelin ( Alta Cedar Ultimate 130K X Janet - full sib to Tex) out of our HUB's Clementine. She was in our 06' sale.  She had this bull at 19 months of age.

I know the sire is Leveldale DR bull that Trevor owned with another breeder.

Sue is right, the sire is a DR. Sired by Cherokee Canyon out of the Missie Ruth cow. He is at my partner in the bulls farm. He is breeding his mom's commercial herd. We have semen on the sire. Since Cherokee Canyon has gotten such a bum rap, I kind of wrote the sire off. Leveldale Mr. Right is the bull's name. This breeding occurred at my partners farm. She was bred unknowingly and brought to my house in May to run with a 7026 son. Well on my way home from vacation at the beginning of September, I am told I have a cow calving. I thought one had aborted or something but when I got home to my horror it was the Clementine cow. She was having some trouble and I did assist the birth(easy pull), but at 19 months I cut her some slack and left him a bull. He weighed 92 lbs. After seeing this fella develop, I will be using the sire again.  I will go up and get some pics of  his sire and my 7026 son soon to share. Not a heifer bull but a terminal bull is the best way I can describe the 3/4 blood. He needs to be on black cows somewhere with the calves going to the feedlot IMO.
