Just thought I would mention that our online embryo and flush sale is now open for bidding. Also on offer are a couple pretty neat show heifer prospects- one is a May purebred heifer, that can take some real competition, and the second is a Shorthorn Plus heifer sired by Wolf Willow Major Leroy 1M.

There are 30 lots on offer, featuring some of the best outcross genetics we have been able to assemble. Also selling is a flush from Six S Leah 55L, who has averaged 27 grade 1 embryos in 6 flushes.Several embryos from her also sell.  Since July/08, she has produced over $25,000 in revenue for us, and her embryos have sold to breeders in several US states, Canada and Scotland.

Also selling is a flush in our good clubby donor we call Thunder Thighs. I posted a picture of her a few months ago. She calved on August 5 and has a perfect udder, and she is a great momma cow. She should be ready to flush soon, but the buyer can flush her anytime before next May.

If you want to check out the sale offering, go to www.edjeauctions.com or click on the link on our website, www.horseshoecreekfarms.com. Here are a couple pictures of the two donors that flushes are offered in. The bidding is open from now until Saturday October 3rd.  at 7 PM EDT

Lot 27 is two Durham Red embryos... sired by Red Fine Line Mulberry 26P and out of HC Melba Niam 67J. I am offering a 50% minimum pregnancy rate at 70 days on all our embryos, which means this in this lot, I will guarantee you get at least 1 pregnancy at 70 days following implanting, providing an experienced embryos tech is used. I have added this last part to my guarantee after a girl purchased some embryos a couple years ago and tried to implant them herself. After talking with her, I found out she had only tried to AI 3 cows previously. She never got any pregancies and wanted me to provide her with more embryos.

I have a full sib bull calf to these embryos and he is pretty impressive. I am planning to show him at Agribition in November. There actually were two bulls born from this flush and I never could decide which was the best, but one died suddenly on pasture, so that solved the debate.  I also have 2 other embryos from this flush that I was hoarding for myself, but if some one wants more than the two embryos offered, I could let them go, as I have the cow and Mulberry semen, so I could do another flush.

The reason I sell my embryos in groups of two or four is because of my 50% guarantee. I don't know of anyone else who offers this guarantee, but I would rather see a customer get some results than end up with little or nothing from their investment.

I have had some customers have amazing results. A guy in Scotland just emailed two days ago and told me he has 8 pregnancies from 8 embryos. Another Scottish breeder has got 18 calves from 20 embryos purchased. A Red Angus breeder near here, bought 4 embryos, implanted them himself, and has 4 excellent calves on the ground. They are very impressive calves. I never seem to have that kind of luck.

Grant,
Wanted to wish you well on the "Frozen in Time" sale. Wouid have been on here
earlier to post, but was messing around with a picture to use in my avatar and couldn't
get it to work.  Those two heifers in the sale sure are sweet.  They would make some
Junior an excellent show project. I was glad I was able to see them when I stopped up
to view the cattle. Thought I would quit " laying in the weeds" and watching SP and start
posting. <cowboy>

No problem Matt... if you want some outcross embryos, I still have about 300 left in inventory after the sale.
Thanks to everyone who did buy in the sale and also to those who missed the sale and bought embryos after it was over. I am pleased with the number of embryos we sold, especially with so many major sales happening in the next few days.
