Someone put up a link to where we could find a ful-sib to Lut not too long ago on here, could you please put the reference back up. I tried to use the search, but had no luck. Thanks.
Brent...Are you referring to Johnny Ringo at Styles? http://stylesangus.com/refsires.htmlCAB said:Someone put up a link to where we could find a ful-sib to Lut not too long ago on here, could you please put the reference back up. I tried to use the search, but had no luck. Thanks.

Here is another bull that is bred very similiar to Lutton. He has had quite a bit of success and has not been advertised and promoted . I have seen some very good females and bulls from his sire group. They have some pictured under the winners tab.

I really liked Alternative too! If it wasn't for the 1.77%, I could use him in my herd as well. Just haven't seen a purebred Lut son anywhere that's surfaced to replace him.CAB said:bluffcountrycattle said:Brent...Are you referring to Johnny Ringo at Styles? http://stylesangus.com/refsires.htmlCAB said:Someone put up a link to where we could find a ful-sib to Lut not too long ago on here, could you please put the reference back up. Thanks Mark. That was it.
One of the reasons that I was wanting to know was B/C one of the bulls that I saw up @ Nichols last weekend was a son of Lut, HB Alternative. He's my kind of bull from his looks. He'll be leaving this Sunday. I have also been noticing more & More females that I like out of Lut. The HB Alternative bull looks a lot like Lut's yearling picture. He's 1.77% Chi, 98.23% Angus.

There's a link to Horsley Brothers.
I agree with gary89's assessment of Century Impressive. Some good breeders in Iowa have used him to produce nationally competitive heifers and registered Angus steers. Impressive was bred in the same herd that bred Monopoly's maternal grandsire, Touchstone.gary89 said:CAB said:Someone put up a link to where we could find a ful-sib to Lut not too long ago on here, could you please put the reference back up. I know...but I don't want to take the blame for knowingly adding it! We can blame someone else if there already is...ColdWthr said:I really liked Alternative too! I bet there are some registered Angus cattle with more Chi in them than that!!
He is much better in person than in the picture. They took the picture themselves and didn't have it professionally done like most of the promo bulls we see. He is a very good Angus bull and really will throw some nice hair as an added bonus. He is also a good heifer bull. The Sarah cow family that Lutton comes from originally came from this breeder.cpubarn said:I saw a few Century Impressive sons and daughters that I liked this fall, but I must admit, there is something about his picture that is just NOT impressive. I will also agree on the Alternative bull, saw him twice @ Nichols, I like him, probably need to try some... I will admit being addicted to sexed female semen, don't suppose I could get lucky with Alternative and find out they sorted some....
