;D My daughter had a steer show that she went to on Saturday in Rosenberg, Texas. This was a show that was just right down the road from us, so we loaded up her smokey steer that she has for our county fair and took him to let him get used to being out and about.
He showed really well for her and she won her class in all four rings. It was a great day for her and the steer. When it came down to the division champion drive there was this awesome AOB red steer that won the division every time. He was a very nice steer, I kept making a big fuss over how nice he was.
Well, this nice "young" boy that was showing the steer was there with his dad. They were such nice people and they must have thought I was crazy because I kept talking and talking. The "young" boy said he was going to show his steer at the Galveston County Fair in April.
After the show was over, I went back over to the "young" boy and jokingly asked him if I could take his steer home with me, he said no of course. He then asked where my daughter's steer was going to be shown. I told him he was for the Wharton County Fair in May.
OMG...the "young" boy grinned at me and asked me if I was Simmymom1 on Steerplanet!!! I must have turned 3 shades of red, and I told him yes that was me. I found out that he was "cattleking" on here. This is when my husband and my daughter are standing right beside me, needless to say my daughter ran off and hid. My husband laughed at me the whole way home, implying that the boy's father must have thought I was stalking young boys on line! My daughter was mortified that I have been talking to children her age on line!!
They both gave me a hard time. I just laughed at them and told them that they were so wrong. I told them that I talk to all kinds on this board, kids, adults, space aliens, and even cavemen. Of course now they are ready to have me committed after this weekend. Anyway, it sure was nice meeting cattleking and his dad, they are really good people and have an AWESOME steer!! (clapping)
