I dont know anyting about this bull except I have seen some of his calves and I like them!!! A couple guys up our way bred him and the calves came pretty easy, but were out of pb angus females. What is your experience with him at calving time? Bred to Heifers? All opinions and past experiences are appreciated!!! Thanks!!!  :)

Kadabra has been my bull of choice on heifers for years now.  I have never had a problem.  Probably bred 50-60 heifers to him.

Kadabra can give you the prettiest hair of ANY bull there is period. HOWEVER!!! Kadabra can throw some amazing calves, most are NOT deep bodied enough, out of crossbred cows. He will make you smile really big at times and make you cry in your beer at other times. Some of the most dreadful TRAIN WRECKS have come from him also.Way to STRAIGHT on either end can and has been a problem. Most of the bad one's that I seen were in Oklahoma at various shows, and I don't know what their momma's looked like. You need to understand the BAD with this bull as well as the GLITZ he commands. ANYONE who has used him very much will back up what I have said. When you get a good one ,they are hard to beat, but he will throw bad one's too. LEROY O'DELL of Asher, Oklahoma has used him a lot over the years. He has used him on Straight Maines Maine Angus and Straight Angus with good and bad results.

Yep.  John warned me after I'd already used him and sure enough he was right.  Never had a single sound steer out of him, and we don't have very many structural issues in our cow herd.  One calf had to be put down due to a real problem on the front end.  The others made it to finish weight (one in the showbarn last year, Had good females though.  Two are in our herd and will be having their second calves this fall.  Almost too much hair for a cow though in our country.  I've got to shave them.

Are last calf that was from the bull Kadabra was very big i think 110 to 120. The cow could not have it and the cow ended up having a sea section, a couple of days later the calf died. We learned our lesson for not using the bull Kadabra.

Thanks to everyone who commented!!! I dont think I'm going to use him on either of my cows then. After reading all this I think you're better off to buy Kadabra calves than calve them!!!  ;)
