My steers are around 600 650 was wondering should i keep them on a grower or move into a finsiher for awhile. Theyve been on a grower for about 2 months and its a tough choice where to go from here.  I know alot of people feed finisher first.  I am planning on taking them to denver but making them bloomy for that is the last of my worries I need to do whats best now so that theyre what they should be come august. Any suggestions

I WOULD SAY IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO WEIGH. IF YOU NEED MORE WEIGHT , THE I WOULD FEED CATTLE BLASTER OVER THE WINTER GET THEM TO 1200LB THEN FEED BARLEY BASE FOR A WHILE TO GET THE PROPER FINISH ONCE IT STARTS GETTING WARM YOU WANT THE WEIGHT TO BE THERE YOU DONT WANT TO BE LIGHT CAUSE YOU CANT PUSH THEM BECAUSE THEY WONT EAT AS MUCH AND WILL LOOSE HAIR COAT.  OUR WEIGH IN WAS END OF JAN FIRST OF FEB AND I ALWAYS WANTED THEM AROUND 1000LBS
