I know of this Habenaro bull that is for sale. He looks really good, and i am really thinking about buying him. Has anyone heard of anything that his bulls, how do the produce. Are there bull calves anygood for steers. I know he is more of a heifer bull but this bull that i may be buying looks like he could make some nioce steers.

From my experience they are good cattle. Our last clean up bull was a Habanero son and I would fault him on his pasterns because he wanted to snap them over occasionally, but phenotypically a very good bull. I wish the Habanero bred cattle had a shot more grow and more thickness. Although the make excellent cows. They milk well, calve easy, and if bred right they get you a marketable club calf with hardly any throw aways. If hair is a concern you have to watch them because Habanero will throw kinky wavy hair especially if he is bred to Simmental influence cows. We still have some semen left and I still think he is a bull worth considering.

My daughter showed a Habenaro steer at county a couple of years ago and won grand champion. He was extremely sound.
