Not sure what's going on here.  Temps are 40s day and high 20s to low 30s at night. Steer had big hair.  Now I can literally scratch him with my finger nails and hair is falling out all over. No bare patches but if I scratch one spot the hair just falls out to about a 1/4 in long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Have a show in month 1/2. Thanks

Usually the indicator of a lice problem is a calf scratching against a fence, post or whatever else they can lean against. Then having patches of hair missing in small or large spots.

Steers begin to shed hair this time of year anyway. Feeding a steer a hot ration will cause their "internal" temperature to be high, which can make them shed hair even more. Regardless of what ambient temperatures are.

Thanks, just pulled him off 14% and now on 12%. Ive sprayed him before with prolate lintox before. Will give him another round or 2
