Somewhere we have a picture of my youngest brother on a 2 year old Holstein bull. Mom and dad were gone so us boys got Goofus saddled and bridled with a mechanical hackamore. Mom was a little shocked when she saw the pictures after developing. Goofus was taken across the scale at 1975 lbs at 23 months old. He was breeding heifers at 9 months and ran with the herd from then on. Thanks for jogging the memory HAB. Great picture. LF
It is nice, you can walk out into a 400 acre pasture, throw a halter on him and lead him to the trailer. He attracts quite a bit of attention at the shows, he has quite the personality. It helps Hank with his "Muttin Bustin" at the weekend rodeos. He figures a sheep is no problem since he has already ridden a bull.
