Our 2011 Calf Crop has really been heavy with bull calves. Even the twins we've had were both bulls. Usually we run about dead even with bull and heifer calves. But this year I bet 80% of them or more are bull calves. I guess mother nature doesn't want us keeping any more for cows, lol. Got 2 or 3 heifer calves that should make really good Dams but that's about it. At least I'll have several steers while prices are high at the market, hopefully. Most of my Reg. Simmi's are having bulls also and their really impressing me as babies, so if they keep it up I'll guess I'll have some bulls for sale. Attached a couple of photos of my latest, he's out of a Dream On son and a Powerstroke Grand Daughter that I raised. This is her 2nd calf. He's really thick and when he doesn't want to get up it's hard to make him. Needed to get out there with my scales but I guess I've been to busy, lol.
