inviting info on new/used hay elevators.....after returning from "home"...and preparing for next year, my absent owner status has left a void in my contributions with  my local friends/business associates/ in the hay management/purchase/barter/ and produciton areas  :'(.  any info good/bad reguarding avalable units/ gas electric/ new/used/fixed lenght vs adjustable length ect. would be greatly appreciated.  thanks  jbarl

I have a PTO driven and use to have a motor driven. I would go back to Motor for sure. The PTO driving is a pain.

Those hay elevators that are engine driven are virtually indestructabe.....unless they fall off a semi, haha.

You might be able to find one in a farm sale this winter.  They are very simple to hook up to a gas Briggs & Stratton style engine with a small belt.  What state are you in, I will keep my eyes open for one.  We are still using the elevator portion that is from the WWII era.
