Getting ready to wean calves and put out some big round bales of hay. I know it was dry when I put it up, but the baler didn't put much string on, and the bales are loose on the outside, lots of white mold. Is it safe to feed to calves? To preg cows?  It is alfalfa hay.
My other bales I had net wrap put on, and next year (does everyone have a next year?) it is going to be stored inside, but what do I do now?
Thanks all. It is a beautiful day out today!!!!

I'm w/ Jill. I won't feed moldy hay to the pregnant cows. Calves should be fine on it.
Don't you hate those surprises?
