Heifer Calf Feeding

Hello to all my bulls, cows, heifers....steers? Lol

I’m picking up a heifer in the next few months, that would be just previously weaned. I was curious if a high energy feed is the way to go?

I planned on talking to the previous owner to see if they were creep feeding the calve a certain supplement/feed.

Just curious what everyone’s thoughts are on it. Thanks in advance!!

What are your goals with the heifer? Is it going to be a show calf or is the goal to have a productive, long lasting cow?
