I have a heifer that was AI'd on April 27th on a natural heat.  My AI guy said that everything felt normal and felt pretty confident that she should take.  I watcher her and another cow starting on about the 13th of May.  She was supposed to be in heat on the 18th of May.  I watched her until probably the 20th with no signs of heat.  I kept her and the other cow in by the barn to watch for another cycle to make sure that I did not miss anything and I started watching a few days before and for a few days after and she showed no signs of heat.  Her 21 day cycle would have been on the 8th of June.  Yesterday when I got home from work she was at the corner of the lot with my cousin's two bulls and she was balling and the bulls were fighting.  I went and checked her out and she wasn't swollen or did she have any discharge.  A few hours later she was still acting this way so I let one of the bulls in and he of course rode her.  I left them penned up all night together and turned the bull out this morning.  But the heifer still has not had any discharge or appeared swollen.  I am trying to figure out why she came in heat now and not before and if she was in heat why she didn't show any signs of discharge or anything.  I don't know if she could have passed the first breeding or something?  She is in a lot right by my barn so I see her quite a bit and she had acted fine until yesterday.  Any thoughts would be greatly appriciated!  Thanks!

Well my heifer had a false heat and then on the next cycle she came in. IDk but she might just not show any signs of in heat. I don't know if this happens but that might be the case.
