Help calming a calf down

Has anyone used bee pollen to help calm a calf down and if you have does it work very well.  If not bee pollen is there anything else that will work.

Is he Bipolar , I know that is what herbalist recommend for individuals that may be bipolar.
We fed Glu-coat to one steer, it really helped him lose his edge, is this a young calf or an older calf. If he is younger just keep working with him and take your time, if you are making progress, even slowly you should be fine.

We have used bee pollen for several years now. Works well for us. Now there is no substitution for hard work and time, but it will take the edge off. Sullivans products seem too work also be bee pollen was a lot cheaper.

Are you looking for something long-term that you can give him daily, or something short-term to use from one show to the next?

Just to help get the edge off while we are working with herand getting her halter broke.  I had heard that it work but i did not want to buy any until i found out if it worked.

we had a calf that was wound up a little to tight and started melatonin.  seemed to work after a few days and actually grew some hair in the process.  It is a sleeping assist pill for people, but in cattle it seemed to grow some hair as well.

I would recommend Grow & Shine. It's melatonin concentrate and it's cheaper mg for mg than buying pills from the store. It's marketed for hair growth, but melatonin is a sleep aid so your calf will be calmer.

I don't recommend using any calming aids while breaking a calf. That defeats the purpose. After you get her broke if she's still a little hard to handle I would use something on her.

I have used melatonin it worked pretty good.
