What's the herf bulls that are creating huge boned, thick, good hipped offspring? Polled or horned, doesn't matter.. Maybe lean towards horned!

PLKR-PLKR said:If you are shooting for show steers I would not use Enuff--probably too big mature frame size. Reload and 146 both need to be used on deep, big ribbed cows that are super sound. Nitro can sure give them a cool look--not massive bone and thickness, but sure adequate, especially for breeding cattle. As of now you have to buy a $2500 semen package to use him. I have seen About Time a few times--he's a good bull, but he will not make them monster thick and huge boned. He will likely be the easiest calving bull of those mentioned above. If you can live with some birth weight DB Hard Drive may work as well as any to add bone and thickness. Of course these are just my opinions, but we have looked at alot of Hereford calves in the last few years--just ask my wife and kids! LOL
