There's a more recent picture of that steer on Hanewich's website.  He's for sale.

That R & W steer is at the top of their "calves" page too...all growed up.  The Hired Man calves do seem to be looking good.

I saw a few decent calves out of him this fall.  Makes me feel good, we got some coming this spring.

I would really really want to use him, and it would be close between him and Manchild, but he probably needs to be bred to real whistle fronted cows doesn't he?  I have a flat good cow, but if I were going to change her, I would put some more hair on her and smooth up her shoulder....her calf this year is like that, but I want to try something different, maybe go for the home run with her third or fourth calf.

From what i have seen this fall he throws a shoulder just like his.He ain't the one to smooth out a shoulder.

Thanks, that what I was thinking.  I have a killer heifer calf out of that cow this year, and she's bred the same way for next year, and we're probably going to flush her that way, so I wanted to switch it up a little bit on her next natural calf.

Don't get me wrong ,tried to justify using him could'nt get past the shoulders.I guess his calves that i saw just bore that out to me .

Well, I know he has those shoulders, and that's about the only thing that needs fixin up on this cow.  There are plenty of other bulls that can smooth her out, I just liked the way he was bred and put together from the withers on back.  Manchild or Hannibal are my two main choices now I think.
