Homemade feed recipes

I am looking for a good feed to mix for my show calves. Just weaned on were on Impact Starter for one week, but it is too expensive for me to keep feeding. My calves are roughly 300-575, steers and heifers both.
Have heard of many options: soy hulls, oats, calf manna, liq molasses, liq oil, corn, cotten seed hulls, etc. Do you grind or have it "rolled"?
So if ya don't mind sharing, what is your mix and how much do you feed? (My calves have big appetites; right now they are eating together and getting 35 pounds in morning and 35 pounds per night of 3/4 Impact and 1/3 of gluten,corn, soy hulls.

I would recommend a blend of roasted soybeans, steam flake corn, steam flake barley, oats, beet pulp, molasses, yeast and sodium bicarb.  Have your mill help you put a mix together that is 14% crude protein and offer it at 2-2.5% of body weight, along with free choice grass hay and free choice minerals/salt.

I second asking Dan Asklund. He passed his ration on to me and I've had great luck with it.

i dont know but i was feeding his ration to a steer and during the last 16 days i had that bad boy gaining 6.9 punds a day. but i was adding quite a few things to his ration

Do you have a feed mill in your area you could work with to develop a ration for you.  A lot of ingredients are interchangable and the real costs savings can be realized by using what they have readily available.  I worked with our feed mill and their consulting nutritionist to develop the following grower ration which I've been extremely pleased with.  Sorry for the formatting.
