The NWSS also had their carcass results. Any idea where those are listed at?

I just emailed them to you, they are not as good.  I think the difference is that steers are purchased with a target date of Houston while the steers going to Denver many (not all) were finished out at the state fair in Sept. and held til Jan.  Just my opinion

Thanks for those Chambero. I'd agree that judges in general are getting better about it, but I think you can pretty much always count on Kevin Jensen to pick practical cattle, so I'm not surprised at these results.

That does help showing there just isn't hair & fluff on the steers!

A big thank you to the National Livestock Exhibitor who had the guts to publish it!!!  The NWSS didn't even post it on their results website.  Probably would have started too much discussion.  Did you see the 19 inch ribeyes, the 12 inch ribeyes, and .92 inches of backfat.

Im sorry, but I will never get a steer that fat, never! :)))
