Anyone know if pictures from HLSR are available to be viewed online.  I bred the Shorthorn middleweight class winner and would like to see what he looked like and try to get a picture on my website ASAP.

Barker Photography takes all the pictures at Houston. You can just do a search for their name and you should find them fairly easy. They have a bunch of pictures up but putting up more everyday. I think you can even find the pictures on the www.hlsr.com website. Just look for livestock and go to results.

A very good friend of mine (and my former county agent that got me to showing steers) bred the Reserve Champion Shorthorn steer.  The calf was sold through Kris Black last year, got sifted at Fort Worth, got the gate at San Antonio, and finally hit a lick at Houston.  He was a very good ET calf out of Double Vision and a red cow that has been producing good ones every year.  A full brother placed 4th at Fort Worth this year.  I think another full brother won the shorthorns in the Star of Texas show last year.

Funny how those things work.  We couldn't get our Reserve Champion Charolais at Houston in 05 sold as a calf.  We wound up trading him for a very average heifer just to get him shown.  Hopefully that family will come back to you for another one.
