How Do You Remove CIDR's?

How do you remove them?  Do you just pull?  I dont want to do it wrong and I certainly dont want to hurt my cows.  What is everybody's procedure?

just put them out.

I usually grab the string with pliers or a gloved hand & pull gently but firmly & out they come.    BTW, I use the pliers because the string gets a little slippery, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the quick replies.  I figured it wasnt rocket science but I didnt want to hurt the cows like I mentioned.
