My sons cow is due on July 15.  but she is looking like she could calf any day.  Is this to early or should everything be ok at this point.  This is her second calf,  I noticed she is getting a big udder and has loosened up, she has a small amount of discharge.

Thanks for any advise

If she doesnt seem uncomfortable, I would leave her be and let nature take its course. They can look close for a few weeks. Your close enough to her due date I wouldnt worry. If she goes way late, then I would start to worry a bit. I have had calves born a little early and they did just fine.

Our vet has always said two weeks either way. I can't wait for them to go over two weeks. We've had a few come early they seem to do alright.
