How much do conception rates decrease when temps. increase?

We have a heifer that we need to breed around mid July, in south central tx. In your opinion  what would chances of ai conception be? Do you think we should use a bull. Thanks

If she is a heifer and in a good heat I wouldn't be afraid of AI.  I plan on body clipping a few cows this year to see if that helps my conception rate.

if you keep her stress free and breed her early am late pm and keep her comfortable in the weeks before and after you should be just fine. if you keep her in routine and dont stress her out you should be able to get the job done. if your seriously concerned there are electrolytes that can be added to the water/feed to help her maintain hydration. Start it like three weeks before you breed her and continue after. just a thought
