Well it all depends on the magazine and who does your design,
I have not promoted a bull since 2004 but here is a basic break down of what it would take to do so and place an ad in most well known publications.

magazine ad 300-600+ this depends on colors and what not and what publication you are putting it in sometimes this does include ad design.
Ad design 100-400+ depending on the complexity of the ad and how long it takes for them to work on it
Picture- if you are taking the time to promote a bull you better be pretty handy with a camera or get a pro to take the photo for you and that runs anywhere 100-500+ depends on if they have to travel and what not
