Anyone seen this bull in person? Or anyone use him this spring? Interested in his using him to try and get a couple heifers. Thanks

Saw him early spring at stud. I personally wasn't a big fan of him. Real rail gutted, didn't have that big explosive hip in his promo picture. Think on just genetics alone he has a place in the industry but phenotypically I wasn't a fan. Just my opinion.

I too was intrigued by this bull and had a guy go look at him at stud for me. He gave me the same report as mainevent just described. I think he got some use so we will see how his calves look this spring.

Interesting, thanks guys. I was looking at other bulls last night and pretty intrigued by Maternal Perfection.

Looking at His pedigree, I don't see anything in there that says it will add much power so he doesn't have that in is corner. I had somebody tell me he looked almost like a thoroughbred. somewhat framey no middle etc. I can see him working on extreme type market heifers that will add the power, or some big middle Angus (just don't walk behind them). But I feel as if he is a bull that  the stars are going to have to align, and whenever your pushing the plunger on the gun your going PLEASE BE A HEIFER PLEASE BE A HEIFER! He got used on some big name places, so I figured when mated to the right $30,000 donor we will see some good ones, I just don't think the market will be flooded with phenomenal I DA MAN calves next year. Could be wrong, there are worse bulls that made it and better bulls that were busts. Kinda like the NFL Draft

Interesting to hear everyone's opinions.  I wouldn't think he'd be a real soggy bull, bred like he is.  Did he have depth?  And what about bone?  Structural correctness?  I have a large, big footed, big boned cow I want breed to him.  And yes, I'd love to be able to get sexed semen.  I would think he will sire some nice heifers.  I'm looking at him...
