I went insane and got a I-pod. How do you download music and is it free? I signed on to the i-pod sight and bought a couple tunes. Then someone told me you can get free songs at mp3 rocket. I did this and think I have downloaded 6 tunes or so to my computer. Haven't figured out how to get them to my I-pod which i hooked up to my computer, i think. I have got messages that said i-pod is not recognized or something. Do I pay 14$ to make the rocket deal work. Why would one web be free and the other one is like a dollar per song. Thanks in advance.

When you down load on the computer does it stay on your computer or your i-pod. Can you go back and get it if your computer blows up?

We have used LimeWire.  The free version.  Make sure you have good virus protection.  You can get good music & a virus at the same time.

Be careful about using torrent sites as you have a good chance of getting malware and there are currently govt and private agencies that are overseeing incoming and out-coming traffic in a bid to bust offenders of pirated software and music.

If you do use it, a p2p blocker is mandatory.
