Injured dew claw

Our steer ripped the cap off of his dew claw on the inside of his front left foot. We cleaned it up once we found it and used the purple spray on it. Of course it is super sore and we are keeping it clean and resprayed daily but we have a show this weekend and was wondering if we should doctor with something else that deadens or coats it. Also how long are we looking at for it to repair itself.

It'll heal itself eventually. Just keep it clean. Unless this show is a major one this weekend, I sure wouldn't bounce him around in a trailer. I'd just leave him at home.
