What is your input on the breeding of this RockStar donor cow. She is due to calve Sept 2011 to Anarchy. She possibly will be set up to be flushed later this fall. If anything, she could use a shot more in the "seat of her pants"

Thanks!

I'm assuming she's a carrier. I would try Dirty Harry 2 or Tiger Woods on her. For maternal offspring, I would go with Simple Math or Peer Pressure.

She has never been tested but I would assume she is a carrier. Think Dr. Who would work nicely on her?

I'm guessing by your user name and posts your not looking for a purebred bull to flush her to, correct?

She is a nice female, more power than I anticipated from your first post.  You breeding for steers or heifers?

I raise crossbred club calves. I have some purebred females in my herd but main direction is for the show ring. I am just looking for fellow breeders opinion on this female. Thanks.

I thought thats what you were going for.  The reason I asked was because my background is more with purebred cattle therefore I am more familiar with purebred and 1/2 blood bulls and before I made a suggestion I wanted to make sure I knew what your intentions were with the mating.

How about Predator? Sounds like he is working well and is TH free and is an outcross.

Real nice cow. If she was mine I would maybe try and i know he has heat wave in his ped. But i would try.  Eye Candy or maybe Master of Puppets just an opinion.

I'm more of a purebred guy so I don't know a ton about clubby breeding, but I'm going to agree with chappy on Eye Candy. I clipped a group of Eye Candy x PB Angus calves a while back. They seemed to follow their dam on their front end, but they all had plenty of guts and thickness. I loved the hips he put in them but on the down side they were a little more high-strung than average.

I wouldn't use eye candy on her due to the fact he is a THC....could be dangerous...I love eye candy but I do not love a dead calf..

I think Dr. Who would work well on this female.  You may also want to think about Yellow Jacket, Predator, or Cool Customer.
