Hi all, I have been showing and raising cattle for about 16 years now. Just recently I have been getting really into the nutrition side of raising show calves. Before we just fed the basic beef feed and added a little fat in the end. Anyways my question is this what else can I do to help this steer out we have this year (ill post a pic) He is about 880lbs right now, our fair is in January and he is obviously large framed. We are feeding 15lbs honor show chow developer, 3lbs precon, 6oz power fuel, 2lbs beet pulp and 1oz red cell 2x a day. Plus all the hay he can eat. He finishes everything in about 20 min and is UTD on worming. I want to do this right this year and want him to look his best. I feel he needs more rib...I am open to opinions about him and what you feel he should be eating!! thank you for all the help!
