Interested In Showing Steers

I am new to showing beef cattle. I am 17 and live in wisconsin. I have shown sheep for 7 years and i showed a beef cattle last summer. I didnt show anything this year because i was serving my country at Basic training but want to get back into showing cattle.  What breeds would you recommend. I am also looking for a place where I would be able to keep my animal since I live in town and some place close to shell Lake Wisconsin.  Thanks so much

I can't help you out as Dow where to keep your steer, but I would suggest not looking for a certain breed. Look for the best bang for your buck. Good luck

If your in 4-H or FFA I would ask someone in your club or chapter..They might be willing to let you keep a calf at their place

I agree with LHB, don't look for a certain breed but what your budget allows, sorry I'm to far from Shell Lake to help you out with a place.
